Fighting intensifies between government forces and Houthis south of the city of Dhamt


Fierce clashes erupted between government forces and the al-Houthi group on the outskirts of the city of Dhamt in the southern Yemeni province, a field source said on Thursday.

According to the source of al-Masdar online, the intensity of the fighting intensified at the last hours of yesterday evening and this morning, following an attack by government forces in several areas and locations behind Al Heqab area and Khab south of the city of Dhamt.

He said the artillery of the 83rd Brigade was the sites of al-Houthi in Al Gharbia and Ghulin areas, and in Al-Sanad Reef, south of the city of Dhamt, while the government forces reinforced their fighters as a result of the intensity of the confrontations.

On the eastern side of the city of Dhamt, the sources reported that Houthi gunmen tried to infiltrate the eastern axis of the areas of the era, but the government forces confronted them and the clashes killed and wounded both sides.

In the areas of Al Haqab, citizens ' homes have been indiscriminately bombed by the Houthis in the past hours, and civilians have been killed and wounded.

In areas of Khab in the south of the town of Dhamt, the Houthis blew up Khab bridge, one of the bridges on the highway leading to the city of Dhamt, with the aim of preventing the progress of the government forces, which continued to rally two days ago on the outskirts of the city.
